A 16-year-old Amherst boy was hospitalized following a traffic accident in Miller around 9:22pm Monday evening.  According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was traveling eastbound on Highway 40 when his 2004 Dodge Ram left the roadway and struck a residence.  The residence was unoccupied at the time.   The boy was transported to a Kearney hospital by rescue unit with non-life threatening injuries.

Sgt. Dave Gibbs says the preliminary investigation indicates neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash.  It was unknown whether seatbelts were in use.
