Opposition to Public Power District Merger Granted Standing

The Nebraska Power Review Board had a meeting on Friday, December 16th among the topics discussed was the merger of Dawson Public Power District and Central Nebraska Irrigation and Public Power District.

The merger between DPPD and CNIPPD which would see DPPD absorbed by CNPPID with a rebrand to the Platte River Public Power and Irrigation District. The merger would be finished in 2023.

A group in opposition to the merger were granted standing to continue before the Power Review Board on the merits of the merger proposal and will be seen by the board on January 27.
