Maxwell, Neb. — Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a search warrant on a trailer home in Maxwell on Tuesday afternoon following what was described as a several day investigation.

According to a media release, a search by deputies revealed several long bladed machetes, air guns made to look like real firearms, several dozen items of drug paraphernalia, nine digital scales and multiple containers of crystal like powder. The release said preliminary testing on the powder showed it was positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl.

A large amount of powder was identified as possible Epsom salt or bath salt. The sheriff’s office says the residence is owned by 34 year old Daniel S. Endicott of Maxwell.

Endicott was arrested a day prior for distribution of a controlled substance.

Deputies cited Endicott with several additional charges: Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Imitation Controlled Substance.

A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop Monday on a Chrysler sedan for having fictitious plates near Lee Bird Field east of North Platte. While talking to the driver, Endicott, the deputy observed several signs of drug activity. The deputy deployed the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detection Dog, Bella, who indicated narcotics were in the vehicle.

Endicott’s vehicle was searched and Deputies located at least four grams of Methamphetamine, multiple glass pipes, baggies and a digital scale. Endicott was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and placed in the Lincoln County Detention Center.
