GOTHENBURG- The Gothenburg Boys and Girls Track teams are ready to get running for the 2023 campaign, with both teams already having competed at the indoor UNK event.
There is a lot of excitement around the girls team, with four returning state qualifiers. Junior Madison Smith finished as a gold medalist in discus, junior Aubrey O’Hare was 5th in 100 meter hurdles, and junior Ava Weyers was 9th in long jump. Head Coach Bryson Mahlberg noted that they bring back a good core this year, and is hoping they can add some depth throughout the season.
