East dominates West Nebraska All-Star Football Game

Southern Valley and Lexington High Schools were front and center on Saturday night as the East cruised past the West 35-6 to win the 43rd Annual West Nebraska All-Star Football Game in Scottsbluff.

After the West scored early in the second quarter to trail 7-6 the East scored the final 28 points of the game.

Carter Bose of Southern Valley was named the Offensive MVP of the game as he threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns while also adding a 70 yard touchdown run on the ground. The two touchdown passes went to his high school teammate, Clayton Berry, who finished with 121 yards receiving.

Another offensive standout for the East was Lexington running back Alex Ramos, who finished with 65 yards rushing and a pair of touchdown runs covering 16 and 18 yards.

Defensive MVP honors for the game went to Carson Rhode of Sumner/Eddyville/Miller for the East team.

McCook’s Alec Langan showed off a tough running style throughout the night finishing with 64 yards on the ground.

The East defense as a whole was a standout unit allowing the West just 155 yards of total offense. Rylan Aguallo led the West with 57 yards rushing.

The lone West score came on a short touchdown pass from Scottsbluff’s Brett Hill to Leyton’s Zac Henke.

4th- (E) Alex Ramos (Lexington) 18 yd TD run, PAT good 35-6
