Authorities looking for Alda man for assault

The Hall County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man involved in an assault Thursday morning.

The sheriff’s department says deputies responded to Grand Island Regional hopsital at around 11:30 Thursday morning in reference to an assault that happened in Alda.

They say deputies contacted the victim, and after an investigation, they determined that 36-year-old James Timmerman pointed a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot her at their home in Alda earlier that morning.
Authorities say Timmerman also physically assaulted the victim and stole items from he before taken her to the hospital.
Officials say Timmerman went in the hospital with her, but then left.

The sheriff’s department says his whereabouts are not known at this time and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

They say an arrest warrant has been issued for Timmerman for Terroristic Threats, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, Assault by Strangulation, Robbery, and False Imprisonment.
