Dr. Rupp says there’s a likelihood a vaccine will be available for the youngest children sometime later on this summer. Pfizer’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccine is 80.3% effective according to preliminary analysis. The results are based on clinical trials in which kids from six months to age 5 got three doses of the company’s vaccine.
