Code Club at Wilson Public Library
Need something for your middle or high schooler to do this summer? Or, do you have an interest in coding? Computer coding can be used to create websites, video games, and apps. It is a way to create computer programs with a sequence of instructions for the computer to execute. As of the end of 2020, there were around 1.4 million unfilled Computer Science jobs. In Nebraska, the average Computer Science salary is around $75,000, according to Ziprecruiter.
Wilson Public Library in Cozad has a Code Club for ages 10 and up, which meets most Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 in Cozad. Due to scheduling & elections, we meet in May on the 17 & 31. Laptops are available for coders to use. Those who are 17 and up may register at www.wilsonpubliclibrary under Youth Programs on the Programs and Services tab. Due to CIPA (the Children’s Internet Protection Act), parents of those in grades 4-11 need to register their students who are under the age 17. Wilson Public Library is located at 910 Meridian in Cozad.
