There was plenty of legion baseball for area teams around the region from Tuesday night, here’s your morning recap of all the action.

Gering PVC 19, Gordon 1– Gering made quick work of Gordon in this one, winning the game in five innings. Tristan Strauch played the starring role in the win as he pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts for the win on the mound and at the plate was one of four players with a multi-hit game and he drove in five runs. Dalton Wiese and Blake Greene each finished with three hits. Gordon won the JR’s game over B&C Steel 9-8.

TONIGHT: Chadron at Gering PVC…coverage on KNEB.tv, 106.9 The Trail, and KHYYfm.com starting at approx 6:45 to 7 pm, first pitch will follow.

Thompson Valley 10, WESTCO Zephyrs 4– The Z’s dropped game one of their doubleheader in Loveland CO as the offense had just one extra base hit. Thompson Valley broke the game open with a five run fourth inning. Jace Heimerman struck out four in the start, the loss was charged to Jerrett Richter.

Thompson Valley 9, WESTCO Zephyrs 8- After falling behind 6-2 through two innings the Z’s were able to rally and tie the game at 8-8 after the top of the seventh. But it was Thompson Valley able to win in the bottom half with a walk off RBI single. The Z’s outhit Thompson Valley 13-8 and got multi-hit games from Hunter McCollum, Wyatt Haught, Jace Heimerman, Porter Robbins, and Izaiah Torrez. McCollum finished with three RBI and hit his 4th homer of the season.
