UPDATED 9/1/2022 6:15 AM: More work has been completed on the major upgrade of transmitter broadcast facilities to our broadcast signals in western Nebraska and eastern Wyoming.
The biggest change for listeners have already happened. 107.3 FM The Trail has moved up the dial from 106.9 FM to 107.3 FM. This will be the most drastic change, as this station is being upgraded to a full-power 100,000 station.
Additionally, 93.3 FM KMOR, and 101.3 FM KOZY have returned to the upgraded broadcast tower, and are back online covering a much larger portion of the area. 94.1 FM The Brand is also broadcasting from the new site as well.
While these four signals are back online, there are still some required testing and upgrades that still need to be completed, so they are broadcasting at half power at this time. This means, that some areas that may not be able to hear the stations now, will likely be able to hear it once we boost power even more. At full strength, the signals will cover areas from Lusk to Wheatland and Cheyenne east to Chadron and Oshkosh and beyond.
Please note, that there will be some times over the next few days where the stations will be broadcasting from the auxiliary sites, as we complete some additional electrical upgrades to the facility. This will result in decreased coverage areas again for a few hours at a time. All work should be completed by September 15th, and the new transmitters will be broadcasting at full power.
The translators for KNEB-AM (100.3 FM) and KOLT-AM (101.7 FM) remain off the air, and will be brought online in the coming days. This will enhance the previous signal and will cover areas from Lingle to Bridgeport.
