Nominations Being Accepted for ServeNebraska Step Forward Awards

Nominations Being Accepted for ServeNebraska Step Forward Awards
May 9th, 2024 | Media Release

ServeNebraska exists as the volunteer service commission tasked with facilitating AmeriCorps programming across the state and encouraging citizens to strengthen our state and communities through participation in volunteer and National Service efforts.

As a piece of this initiative, ServeNebraska annually hosts the Step Forward Awards. Now in their 10th year, they are working diligently to spread the word of these awards as far as possible. Whilst encouraging a culture of service in Nebraska, we also want to make sure those who go above and beyond the call to serve are honored for all they do. Honorees are selected by Nebraska’s governor and awarded at a ceremony in the fall.

The Step Forward Awards offers 10 nomination categories, including: Adult Volunteer, Mentorship, Youth Volunteer, Corporate Community Volunteer, National Service, Veteran Volunteer, Disaster Volunteer,
Senior Volunteer, and Lifetime Achievement.

Nebraskans are encouraged to nominate that special volunteer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty, to strengthen Nebraska communities.
