By any means necessary this time of year.

That was the case last night for the Scottsbluff girls team. In a game that featured a total of just 53 points the Bearcats used their defense to win the B-8 Sub-District Tournament, beating Alliance 28-25.

Scottsbluff was led by sophomore Ava Reed, who scored 20 of their 28 points including six three-point makes. Reed’s four three’s in the second half were the only baskets for Scottsbluff over that entire half of action.

Alliance had no one in double figures as Macey Seebohm led the Bulldogs with eight points on the night.

Scottsbluff held Alliance under ten points in three of the four quarters last night as they improved to 15-9 on the season ahead of a district final coming up on Saturday.
