A Sunday morning medical call turned into a sizable drug bust with the seizure of drugs, cash, and a firearm.

Court records show that Scottsbluff Police were dispatched to a local hotel after staff was alerted to narcotics in a room where a guest was having a seizure.

Officers made contact with 31-year-old Allison Luna of Scottsbluff, who said that she and her boyfriend- 41-year-old Nicholas Ostile of Gering- were staying in that room.

The room overwhelmingly smelled like marijuana, and Luna said she had been smoking and showed her bong and a few buds of marijuana. She then gave officers consent to search the room.

During the search, officers found a .40 caliber pistol, ammunition, more than $1,000 cash in various increments, 18 separate one ounce sealed jars of THC batter, vacuum sealed packages of marijuana, baggies, and digital scales.

The total amount of marijuana seized was 8.26 pounds. Luna told officers she didn’t know anything about what was found during the search. Ostile told officers at the hospital that he had nothing to say about the recovered items.

Both were charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance; Possession of Marijuana More Than One Pound; No Drug Tax Stamp; and Seizure of Property. Additionally, Ostile was charged with was a 1D Felony Charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Monday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
