Gary Hartman got to Scottsbluff High School in 1984. He’ll go into the SHS Athletic Hall of Fame this upcoming fall.
Two years after getting to Scottsbluff High School, Hartman took over as the head track and field coach in 1986, holding that post for 20 years.
And in 1996 Hartman would start a 11 year stint as the Bearcats head football coach. Coach Hartman is the architect of current day Scottsbluff football.
The 21 person/3 team Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Friday, October 18th at Scottsbluff High School.
