Firefighters in Wyoming now appear to have the upper hand in their battle against a wildfire that started earlier this week.
Containment is reported at 75 percent in the Pine Ridge fire northeast of Fort Laramie near the Pine Ridge Ranch subdivision, and as of an update Tuesday night, no structures had been lost.
Just under 1,300 acres of grassland has burned in a blaze Goshen County Emergency Management says was started by lightning Monday afternoon.
Several fire crews worked overnight conducting mop up operations to extinguish the remaining hotspots, with those operations expected to continue Wednesday.
