A 25-year-old Scottsbluff man who had two felony warrants for his arrest was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon.
Scottsbluff Police received a tip that Michael Mapes was inside Dunham’s Sports, and confirmed that there were active warrants for Mapes’ arrest. As officers arrived on scene, he had left Dunham’s and was walking towards Applebee’s.
He was handcuffed, searched, and taken into custody and will answer to the charges today in Scotts Bluff County Court.
