The City of Scottsbluff is advising the public that the Mill and Overlay project on 20th St. from Cleveland field east to 17th Avenue will begin Monday.

Simon Contractors will be working from Avenue I east lowering manholes in the project area in a process that should take approximately one week.

That work will take place first, since milling into one of the manholes can damage the machine, and will be followed by milling the entire length of the project, and then paving of the street.

City officials ask that you plan ahead if you are on these streets, as there will be some reduced parking and closures as the project moves along the route.

As work gets underway, motorists are asked to use extreme caution in or around the construction areas.
