North Platte, Neb. — According to a media release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, work was to resume Monday, March 20 on Nebraska Highway 97 south of Mullen.
Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for the project, which will include constructing asphalt curb and earth shoulder, concrete flumes, erosion control, and seeding. In Mullen, the asphalt surfacing will be removed and replaced from the junction of N-97 and N-2 to the south for approximately 1200 feet.
Traffic will be maintained with lane closure, a pilot car, and flaggers. A 10-foot width restriction will be in effect, and the project’s anticipated completion is set for May of 2023.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down while driving.
