Two Arrested in Grand Island Related to Kearney Shooting

Two people wanted in connection to a Kearney shooting on January 17th were arrested in Grand Island on Tuesday, according to our media partner NTV.

18-year-old Joshua Morris and 19-year-old Mariah Chamberlin both of Kearney were lodged in Hall County Jail following their arrests and were transfered to Buffalo County.

Morris and Chamberlain are both wanted for charges of Possession of a Defaced Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute While in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of More than a Pound of Marijuana.

On January 17th, two men arrived at CHI Health Good Samaritan hospital with gun shots wounds. 31-year-old Jared Shinpaugh died of his injuries, a second man, 29-year-old Joseph Garcia was treated and released. The two men are siblings and from Lexington.
