The McCool Junction Mustangs are headed back to the state tournament after a 69-62 win over the Alma Cardinals in the D1-6 final Friday night.
McKenna Yates led all Mustangs scorers with 24 points. Briann Stutzman made six three’s for the Mustangs at had 21 points.
The Mustangs improved their record to 20-3 and will head in to the NSAA Class D1 State Tournament on Thursday for the first round. The Mustangs fell to St. Mary’s last year in the opening round of state.
