Former K-State and Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez has a chance to continue his playing career as he was selected with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2023 USFL College Draft on Tuesday. Martinez transferred to Kansas State prior to last fall and was part of the team’s Big 12 title run. The Wildcats ended up in the Sugar Bowl where they lost to Alabama.
Martinez was solid with the Wildcats as he threw for 1,261 yards, with six touchdowns and one pick. He also rushed for more than 600 yards and 10 tds. If you combine what he did at K-State and at Nebraska he passed for more than 9,700 yards and 51 touchdowns.
