GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) – A 19-year-old Phillips man is facing two felony charges after he refused to leave an airplane parked at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport in Grand Island. Tyler Caudill is charged with attempted theft and possession of a deadly weapon. His bond was set Wednesday at $250,000. Police say a man saw Caudill passed out in the cabin of a plane on the airport’s tarmac on Tuesday. When police arrived, Caudill was seen trying to manipulate the airplane’s controls. He eventually left the plane when police fired chemical agents inside. Police in Kearney say Caudill tried to enter Kearney High School on Monday to speak to a student but was turned away.
