U.S. corn condition was rated 64% good to excellent, down 1 percentage point from 65% the previous week, and soybean condition was rated 58% good to excellent, down 2 percentage points from 60% the previous week, according to USDA NASS’ weekly national Crop Progress report released Monday.
Corn silking was 79% and corn in the dough stage was 18%. Soybeans blooming were 76%, and soybeans setting pods were 42%.
Winter wheat was 84% harvested, slightly ahead the five-year average of 81%.
