The top-ranked Nebraska volleyball team begins the second half of the Big Ten slate with back-to-back home matches this weekend. The Huskers host Maryland on Friday at 7 p.m. and Rutgers on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Friday’s match against Maryland is Nebraska’s annual “Pink Match” sponsored by CHI Health.  The Rural Radio Network’s Jayson Jorgensen spoke with head coach John Cook about last week and the challenge ahead.

• Nebraska (19-0, 10-0 Big Ten) is off to its best start to a season since beginning the 2008 season with a 20-0 record. Prior to that, the Huskers began the 2006 season with a 23-0 record and the 2005 season with a 28-0 record.
