Lincoln- When the Nebraska volleyball team travels to Grand Island this weekend for its spring match with Kansas, it won’t be the first time head coach John Cook has been in Central Nebraska this spring.
Cook spoke this week with the RRN’s Jayson Jorgensen about his growing hobby with horses. In fact, he helped with a branding north of Overton at the Enochs Ranch.
Cook initially purchased his first horse from Lindsey Petersen, NU volleyball’s director of operations, who raises quarter horses.
When Cook visited the area this spring, he purchased another horse on that visit from the Dibbern family.
The Huskers take on Kansas this Saturday in a sold out match in Grand Island at 5pm.
