Dukes take down Alliance

YORK- The points came early and often for Head Coach Glen Snodgrass’s squad in a 27-6 defeat
of the Alliance Bulldogs on Friday night at East Hill Stadium in York. The Dukes were able to
set the tone early with stout defense, and capped it off with impressive offensive and special
teams performances.
The Dukes struck first in the first quarter on a 38-yard touchdown run by Seth Erickson. The
extra point made it 7-0 Dukes at the end of one quarter of action. The second score of the game
came courtesy of a 12-yard Dalton Snodgrass touchdown run. The extra point gave the Dukes a
14-0 lead. The first half concluded with a Garrett Ivey 35-yard field goal as time expired to give
the Dukes a 17-0 lead at the break. Ivey converted another 35-yard field goal try in the second
half to make it 20-0. The Dukes capped off their scoring with a Joel Jensen pick-six. The
Bulldogs scored their lone touchdown late in the fourth quarter on a 54-yard touchdown run by
Carson Bair.
Seth Erickson led the charge for the Dukes with 70 yards on 7 carries and a score. Snodgrass
added 53 yards on ten carries and a score as well.
Alliance was aided by quarterback Tyzen Brown who ran for 20 yards on six carries, and also
threw for 31 yards on nine completions.
The Dukes (2-0) will next face McCook this Friday night at 7 p.m. on KOOL Radio, 103.5.
