YORK – The top-seed Cross County Cougars met the No. 2 seed BDS Eagles on Tuesday night in York City Auditorium for the Crossroads Conference volleyball title.
The Eagles jumped out to a lead in the first set and won 25-20. Cross County took the next two sets 25-17 and 25-23. In set four, the BDS pulled away to win 25-17 and take the match to a fifth set. BDS had a championship point at 14-13 in the fifth set, but Cross County would come back to win the game and the title 16-14.
The win puts Cross County at 26-4 on the season. BDS drops to 23-5.
Meridian won the third place match at the city auditorium 3-1 over Exeter-Milligan.
