Hastings native Mike Boeve agreed to terms with the Milwaukee Brewers after being drafted in the second round of the Major League Baseball Draft earlier this month. Boeve was the 54th overall pick by Milwaukee and he ended up signing for $1.25 million, which was just under the slot value of $1.5 million. After becoming a star with the Omaha Mavericks the last couple of seasons he could have returned to school for a final season had he wished.
