STACHE BOOK CLUB: Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

Let me tell you something, I have had a mostly negative view on romance novels. I have a very positive view on novels with romance because who doesn’t love a good love story making a plot feel more whole? But books that are straight romance? Not normally my bag.

Until now.

Allow me to introduce you to the most adorable romantic comedy book I’ve ever read. “Assistant to the Villain” gives us a wonderfully goofy main character that you can’t help but fall in love with and a dreamy boss that won’t open up to anybody. Cliche. WHO CARES?! This book is silly, this book is fun, this book is cute.

My world wasn’t rocked by this book by any means, however, I was thoroughly entertained with this PG-13 romance. The funny part is that the PG-13 rating comes from the stuff The Villain does not from the romance part!

If you like light fantasy, when-will-they-kiss romantic comedies, you will absolutely love this book.

4 out of 5 stars.
