Local tourism leaders are encouraging the Panhandle to join them to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week.
During a ceremony Friday morning at the Legacy of Plains Museum’s new Japanese Hall exhibit, Scotts Bluff County Tourism Director Brenda Leisy laid out how important the industry is for our community.
Afterwards, Gering Mayor Kent Ewing read and signed a proclamation declaring it Travel and Tourism Week in Gering, Scottsbluff, Terrytown and Scotts Bluff County
The public is also encouraged to come attend the official ribbon cutting for the Japanese Hall on June 8th at 10 a.m.
