South wins tight Shrine Bowl over the North

Kearney- Isaiah Weber of Gretna scored touchdowns to help the South squad to a 17-10 win over the North in the 66th annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl on Saturday. Weber scored on a two yard td run for the first score of the game, and then he scored the final touchdown of the game on a double reverse pass from Owen Baxter (Lincoln Southeast) that covered 60 yards in the fourth quarter.

Patrick Gross of McCook accounted for the other score for the South when he connected on a 20 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter. Samul Zazueta of Norfolk hit a 44 yard field goal for the North to end the first half to make it a 7-3 game at the break. The North tied the game in the second half when Payton Prestito of Papillion Lavista scored from six yards out. Weber was named the offensive MVP of the game.
