SCOTTSBLUFF- The Ogallala Indians came to Scottsbluff and defeated the Bearcats, 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-10), in Scottsbluff’s final regular season home match.
Ogallala rode the momentum of a nine-point run in the third set to complete the sweep of the Bearcats. The Indians got 11 kills from sophomore lefty Alex Ervin, nine from junior Laney Caskey, six from sophomore Aniston O’Neil, five from freshman Shayden Rasby and one from sophomore Addison Powell en route to Ogallala’s three-set victory.
Scottsbluff got nine kills from senior Emma Hergenrader, three each from Mia and Margo Bowles, two from Heidi Groskopf and Addy Bowlin and one each from Marley Wilkinson and Peyton May.
Ogallala (23-7) heads to ‘Class A’ North Platte on Tuesday to take on the Bulldogs before beginning Southwest Conference Tournament play at Broken Bow next Friday. Meanwhile, Scottsbluff (14-17) end the regular season with a rivalry matchup at Gering next Thursday at 7 p.m.
