The Kimball City Council recently took action to improve future housing availability in that community.
Three projects were considered last week for zoning changes and subdivisions, with all receiving a green light from the council.
A multi-family zoning overlay was requested for the Clean Harbors Lighthouse Subdivision on the southwest side of town, with a preliminary plat showing 110 lots for 100 homes and 10 lots for four-plex units.
The re-zoning request for the Antelope Ridge development on the southwest corner of the I-80 interchange south of town was for mixed use, including a preliminary plat showing single- and multi-family dwellings, plus traveler’s services along Highway 71.
A zoning change and final plat for the Mietus project to build duplexes on four lots was also approved.
All three of the developments are subject to a signed development agreement, which will follow more detailed discussions in the future.
