The parent companies of banks based in Harrisburg and Lusk, Wyoming have announced a merger they say should be completed in the second quarter of this year.

Banner County Ban Corporation, which operates Banner Capital Bank, has entered stock purchase agreement to purchase Lusk State Bank’s holding company.

Management and staff at the Lusk institution will remain in place, and it would continue to operate as an independent community bank.

The combined financial company would have total assets of approximately $296 million, with six full-service branch locations in Harrisburg, Beaver City and Alma in Nebraska, and Cheyenne, Guernsey and Lusk in Wyoming.
