It’s been quite the start to the season for the Gering Platte Valley Companies seniors as they earned another win over Chadron on Tuesday night and their record now stands at 8-0.

At Maurice Horse Field on on Tuesday it was Gering scoring one in the first inning and then taking control with a four run second inning as they went on to beat Chadron 11-5.

The Gering bats did some nice work against Chadron ace Broc Berry. PVC wrapped out ten base hits on the night as all but one player in the lineup recorded a hit. Bo Gable had the lone multi-hit game, going 2-4 with two runs scored and Tanner Gartner recorded the lone extra base hit with a homer to start the game in the first inning.

Gartner got the start and went two innings allowing one earned run with three walks and four strikeouts and then it was Gable coming in with good work out of the bullpen with four innings pitched allowing four hits and two earned runs.
