Bayard’s BE Farm Pumpkin Patch Has New Events for Opening Weekend

Bayard’s BE Farm Pumpkin Patch Has New Events for Opening Weekend
September 22nd, 2022 | Ryan Murphy

Today is the first day of fall and the Pumpkin Patch at BE Farms in Bayard is ready to kick off the season in style.

Owner Billy Estes has had the patch open to the public for seven years, and says there’s a lot of family friendly activities planned for 2022.

“Opening evening on the 24th, we have the Gering Kiwanis club coming out helping us present a haunted maze,” says Estes. “And then Sunday morning we have tethered hot air balloon rides at the patch.”

He says they’ve added some new activities to the farm this year, including a tractor pull game, net swing set, pedal trikes, and a new concession stand called ‘Moomaw’s Morsels.’

We’re out here by Moomaw’s Corner, so we wantedto honor the history of Bayard, and we’re going to have a pumpkin spice funnel cake. So if you’re looking for a way to try fall out on a funnel cake, that’s the way to do it. We just try to add something to the farm each year at the patch.

Hours for the Pumpkin Patch at BE Farms are 10 to 6 on the weekends and 4 to dusk on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

You can find a full schedule of events by going to BEPumpkinPatch.com or on their Facebook page.
