The man who shut off power to the Scottsbluff VA building this winter, causing thousands of dollars of damage to refrigerated medication inside, is a wanted man once again.

A bench warrant has been issued for 32-year-old Dario Olivares, who set fires on the side of the new VA building and caused more than $12,000 in damage.

In February, Olivas manually shut off the power of the building as he set fires in the alleyway. Security video caught Olivas on film standing in front of the VA Clinic electrical box. Staff says that with the power shut off, thousands of dollars worth of medication was destroyed because it did not stay refrigerated via the power outage.

Earlier this summer in District Court, he pleaded no contest to a charge of Attempted Criminal Mischief (More than $5,000), a class 1 misdemeanor.

Last week, Olivas failed to show up for sentencing, and Judge Leo Dobrovolny signed a warrant for his arrest.
