Patrick L Vostades Jr., 64, of Gering, fighting strongly and bravely against Cholangiocarcinoma, received his call home on March 16, 2023.
Visitation will be at Gering Memorial Chapel Thursday evening, March 23, from 3:00-6:00p.m. Rosary will be at 9:30 on Friday, March 24, with Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Fr. Joseph Thambi will be Officiating. Burial of the urn will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Patrick was born June 15, 1958, to Jennie and Patrick Vostades. He attended Gering public schools and worked various jobs, starting with National Janitorial Services, working for a geophysical company, and later working as a drywaller for others and himself.
He was active at Christ the King and then Our Lady of Guadalupe parishes.
He loved music, travel and photography, as well as spending time with family and friends. He had a reserved personality, but at times, would let his sense of humor spring forth.
Survivors include his brothers, Phil (Jobita), Tim, and Paul; Sisters Pamela Altamirano and Patricia; close relative, Gerarda Perez; good friends, RoseMary and John Bey; along with so many others.
He was an awesome Uncle to Zachary, Erin (Vincent) Zane, Ethan, Jessica, Kathy, and Charlie (Natalie); and Great-Uncle to Elysia, Anselmo, Camila, Liam, David, Sophia, Chia and Simeon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; baby brother, Paul Ray; nephew, Chester; grandparents, Geronimo and Bessie Perez, and Jose and Delores Morales; plus numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
