Barbara Lee Peyton, 95, of Scottsbluff, passed away at her home Thursday, November 17, 2022. Her memorial service will be at 10am, Monday, November 28, 2022, at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Barbara was born to Samuel and Barbara Scott on September 19, 1927, in Lodgepole, Nebraska. She lived most of her life until 1988 in Ovid, Colorado. Barbara met the love of her life, Wendell Laverne Peyton, in grade school. They married in August of 1946. To this union they had three children: Wendell J, Scott, and Debbie. Barbara spent her life loving her family. In the meantime, Barbara was very involved in the sports world. She would watch her children play all sports from football to basket weaving, if there was a competition the family was involved. She also would bet a nickel on any game with Wendell J. Other than sports, her hobbies included art and crossword puzzles which you could find her doing daily. Barbara was a wonderful, caring and loving mother and friend to all.
Barbara is survived by her sons Wendell J. Peyton and Scott Peyton. Grandchildren; Coral Peyton, Ruby Peyton, Kelly Arent, and David Sanders. Great Grandchildren; Summer Lynn Arent, Meagan Arent, Danielle Arent and Brandon Arent. Sister Mary Bennett.
Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband Wendell L. Peyton. Daughter Debbie Phillips. Parents Samuel and Barbara Scott. Her brother Francis Scott.
