Seed Sharing Library at Gering Public Library

The new seed sharing library will kick-off on Saturday, April 20th from 1-3p.m. at the library. Master Gardener Kirstee Schutte will present a hands-on class on how to start seedlings indoors. She will also have seedling plants and other gardening giveaways, while supplies last.

The Gering Seed Sharing Library has collected a variety of seeds to lend, with the focus on native pollinator species. Seed donations of any variety are also welcome.

Patrons may check out up to five packets of seed per week. Each seed packet comes with an instruction sheet. Local gardeners are encouraged to save seeds from their gardens this fall to share with others next year.
