Idem Irrigation, part of the Holliday Family of Companies, has redesigned the sprinkler head that goes on center pivots.
Phil Holliday says dealing with Midwest winds, their ball shaped heads provide better water saturation. They currently have 1,600 drops on pivots across three states, including seven farms here in the Panhandle.
The top 10 semi-finalist teams will participate in pitch training and mentorship prior to competing at the American Farm Bureau Federation Convention in January, where they will vie for up to $50,000 in prize money.
In the meantime, Idem Irrigation is working to increase their presence in the ag industry and roll out to more farms across the region.
