The start of the high school basketball season is upon us and that includes the annual season opening Western Conference Tournament, which will tip off on Thursday afternoon and run through Saturday.
Opening night games will be held at Scottsbluff, Gering, and Mitchell high schools with action Friday at WNCC and Scottsbluff then on Saturday back to the college with consolation games at Gering.

All the winners will head to WNCC’s Cougar Palace for the semifinals on Friday and we’ll carry all four of those games on KNEB.tv platforms with Scottsbluff/Gering games also being simulcast on radio. Consolation round games Friday will be played at Scottsbluff.
Saturday games at WNCC will be the third place and championship games with 5th and 7th place games being held at Gering.
