The Panhandle Junior Open tennis tournament was held in Scottsbluff on Thursday, June 8th at Scottsbluff High School. Players from around the area competed in an 18 & Under USTA Level 7 event that was open to the public. Players came from Cheyenne, Alliance, Mitchell and joined locals for this singles and doubles tournament.

The Panhandle Junior Open was sponsored by the Western Nebraska Tennis Club and the local travel tennis team, the Nebraska Drifters. There will be a USTA Level 6 junior open tournament on Monday, June 12th held at Scottsbluff and Gering high schools. Registration is open to all junior players.
