The Scottsbluff boys tennis team picked up a fourth place finish on Friday at the Hastings Invite as they were in action against some teams they don’t see on a day in, day out basis with their schedule.
Scottsbluff head coach Darren Emerick was pretty pleased with the teams performance.
“I was pleasantly surprised that we came in 4th as a team today. The key was the solid efforts at all four divisions, with only the #2 doubles team finishing in the bottom half of their group. This was a big step in the overall progress of the team as we approach the end of the season and the state tournament.”
Kian Blomstedt had the top finish for the Cats, coming in third place at No. 2 singles with a 4-1 record on the day.
