Former longtime KNEB Sports Director, Rob Barney, will be included in this year’s Scottsbluff High School Hall of Fame Class.
Barney, of course, was a sports staple in the region for 30 years as he served as the Sports Director here at the station from 1986-2016, before he and his wife Veronica moved to Grand Island.
I caught up with Rob yesterday morning to talk about the honor and go back through some memories of his as he’s got plenty of reference points for some of the others that are also being inducted this fall.

The 2024 Hall of Fame induction night is set for Friday, October 18th, as part of a McCook at Scottsbluff football Friday night.
