Today is National Walk at Lunch Day, and employers across the country encouraged their employees to get out and stretch their legs.

That was the case at Platte Valley Companies at Circle Drive in Scottsbluff, as the company set up a ‘walking taco’ station around their campus as employees walked and collected paper cutouts of taco ingredients. Once completed, they were allowed to go to the Community Room and enjoy a catered lunch from El Molcajete.

“This year we wanted to do something just a little bit different,” explains PVC Benefits Specialist Travis Sell. “Typically, Walk at Lunch Day is a wellness type of event, but this year we decided to do something that kind of encouraged our employees, do something together, and also support a local business.”

National Walk At Lunch Day is held every year on the fourth Thursday of April
