More details have been released regarding a fatal fire that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Alliance.
Fire Chief Troy Shoemaker says authorities were dispatched to a call regarding a person on fire.
Alliance Police initially reported that there was an explosion, however further investigation showed that the fire was linked to smoking materials…. and although the victim was on oxygen… oxygen was not being used at the time and there was no explosion.
The victim has been identified as 82-year-old Dixie Howell of Alliance.
