The WNCC baseball team is set to host a big four game weekend series with Otero Junior College at Cleveland Field on Saturday and Sunday with the regular season starting to wind down.
WNCC is currently 20-19 on the year but more importantly sitting at 11-1 and atop the Region IX Empire Conference standings after sweeping a four game series on the road over Lamar Community College this past Sunday and Monday.
Yesterday, Cougar sophomore standout Shintaro Inoue was named Region IX Player of the Week after becoming the programs all-time leader in home runs and runs scored. (Link to that story by CLICKING HERE)
