Officials say a Hay Springs Man died from injuries suffered in a weekend accident near Hemingford.
The Nebraska State Patrol says at approximately 12:10 a.m. Saturday, NSP and Box Butte County deputies responded to a crash that involved a Chevrolet Silverado and a Nissan Juke on Highway 87 near Hemingford.
NSP spokesman Cody Thomas says the preliminary investigation indicated that the Silverado was southbound and crossed the center line, striking the northbound Juke.
The driver of the Juke, 35-year-old Kyle Edwards, of Hay Springs, was pronounced deceased at the scene. One of the two occupants of the pickup was life-flighted to Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
