The Scottsbluff and Gering track and field teams were at the GNAC meet in North Platte on Thursday with Scottsbluff finishing 3rd in both the girls and boys standings while Gering came in 5th in both team chases in the five team field.
North Platte won the boys competition with 188 points, Scottsbluff in 3rd with 80 points, and Gering finished with 49 points.
On the girls side it was McCook taking first with a total of 173 points. Scottsbluff’s 93 points placed them in the middle of the pack while Gering scored 47.5 points on the day.
Here are some of the highlights for both schools:
Madi Seiler, Gering- Won both the 800 meter and 1,600 meter runs
Paige Horne, Scottsbluff- Won both the 100 and 300 meter hurdle events
Gering boys 4 x 800 meter relay- Brett Pszanka, Logan Andrews, Eli Marez, and Lucas Moravec finished first
Trent Davis, Gering- Finished first in the triple jump
